Page 9 of 54 Commercial Item Description A-A-131 Rubber Bands The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description in lieu of Federal Specification ZZ-R-1415. Issued: October 22, 1979 Salient Characteristics: The rubber bands shall be compounded from natural rubber, synthetic rubber (SBR), or synthetic natural rubber (Polyisoprene), or any mixture of the three. The unit weight shall be 1/4 pound or 1 pound, as specified in the solicitation for offer. The number of rubber bands per pound for each size band, shall be in accordance with table I. TABLE I.
